The Carlstan North Hills Agency is a 3rd generation family owned and operated Independent Insurance Agency founded in 1948 by Irving “Eric” Erickson. Eric’s son, Ken, joined the agency in 1976 and has been in the insurance business over for 40 years. Two of Ken’s sons, Adam and Ryan, have been with the agency for 14 and 8 years respectively. The family and agency have been lifelong residents of Queens and have been active in local community affairs. To accommodate the agency’s growing needs, we relocated our office to Garden City in 2015.
Longstanding and supporting members of both the Independent Insurance Agents Association and the Professional Insurance Association the each of the principals severed on numerous committees. Ken was served as President of the Independent Insurance Association Queens and Kings Counties in 1992 and Adam is currently President of the Tri-County Independent Insurance Association serving Queens, Kings and Nassau counties.
Being recognized as insurance professionals and our voluntary service to our insurance associations we have been able to attract and maintain direct agency appointments with the some of the most respected and highly rated insurance companies in the industry.
We have long understood that policyholders desire to deal with knowledgeable people in authority. We have accomplished goals through the use of state-of-the-art technology and a dedicated support staff. This allows the agency owners the time and ability to counsel and interact directly with our customers.
